A Favorite Coffee Spot in a Sleepy Town Amongst the Locals
Last weekend, we went back to our hometown favorite: East Bay Coffee Company. This cozy coffee spot is located in Pinole. If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you’d know East Bay is big. So to be specific, Pinole is located on the west side of Contra Costa County. It’s a small town located that neighbors Hercules on East I-80. You can find this shop at downtown Pinole, or old town Pinole. We’ve been visiting East Bay Coffee Company since their grand opening years back, and we are excited every time we go visit them.
Cozy space to meet, work, or just hang out
Inside Easy Bay Coffee Co is 2 main spaces, the counter and a main seating area. Both spaces can be accessed in a central place near the entrance of the shop, the drink pickup location near the end of the counter space next to the kitchen. Consequently, after you pick up your drink, you’ll need to work your way back to the entrance to access the main seating area. It’s not a big deal, but just be aware that coffee pick up area can get crowded during busy times.
Main seating area has a lodge feel. Decor has a warn and inviting feeling. Most of the seating and table are 2 tops, and there are also some bar seating at the window. Perfect place to meet a friend, catch up! Otherwise, smaller tables are a great place to pull out a laptop and work.
Best Coffee Spot in the Area
It’s quite a statement, but East Bay Coffee’s vanilla latte is the best that we’ve had in the East Bay. East Bay Coffee Company roasts their own beans, so they control every aspect of their espresso. Their coffee is aromatic and flavorful, never bitter. The roast they serve is on the mild side. One of the stand outs if their vanilla latte. It offers a great balance between vanilla and coffee. So, pick one up and try it for yourself.
Super Coffee Guy
They sell a variety of of merch, everything from mugs to T-shirts. The super coffee guy is their most recent addition – super cool. Some of their logos are designed by artists well known for their work. Most notably, artists that did work for Game of Thrones and Bioshock helped design different styles of their coffee guy definitely check them out.
Breakfast Sandwich, Fresh Cinnamon Roll and more
East Bay Coffee serves hot breakfast sandwiches, hot food and assorted pastries. We absolutely loved the hot breakfast sandwich, which honestly is big enough for 2. On the lighter side, they also have various croissants. Another star of the show is their fresh cinnamon rolls, which is amazingly popular and sells very quick.
