12 Weeks to Go – It’s been a while and 3 months left

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve updated my training status.. and that’s since April…

Since then, a lot has happened, life took over and I didn’t have the energy to post my progress. So in this post, I’ll be posting my milages from the last 5 months together!

During September, I’ve also started to train for the 1/2 marathon + marathon combo. My long runs used to be singular days, but I’ve started integrating a shorter run the day before the long run day (marathon distance) and slowly ramping that run up to build up my endurance to eventually 13+ miles on the “short” day before the longer run.

My strategy at the moment is that (excuse the slow runner heh), I run a 5K at 8:30-9:00 min/mile pace. 10K at 9:30min/mile pace. 1/2 marathon “short” run at 10:15 min/mile, and finally marathon pace at 10:30 – 10:40 min/mile. It has worked so far ramping up. the 2 longer distance, and I intend to continue doing this.

So, update for the months that I’ve misseed.

At this point, with 3 months left, I’m mostly training for finish and not a specific finishing time. Stay tuned for the weekly updates!
